On Tuesday, a Maryland high school student was suspended for forcing his fellow classmate to respect the American flag during a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Now, it’s clear why this student made such a strong stand for the flag.
A video surfaced on Monday of one student at Winters Mill High School in Carroll County, Maryland kicking the chair out from under another student who refused to stand for the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance.
According to school officials, the student who refused to stand for the Pledge has been very vocal about his contempt for the flag and for America as a whole.
The student who is seen in the below video kicking the chair out from under the protesting student actually has a very good reason.
In 2012, his brother was killed by an IED placed by Al Qaeda soldiers in Iraq. He had asked the other student several times to stand for the flag out of respect, but the other student had refused.
